Survey Crew Chief - Description and Requirements:
Great Divide Consulting is always looking for professionals in the following categories:
CAD Drafting Technicians - proficient in AutoCAD survey drafting and conversion of CAD to GIS
ArcGIS Technicians - proficient in ArcMap gis mapping and conversion of GIS to CAD
Field Survey Technicians - proficient in assisting field crew chiefs with total station and GPS data collection
Field Survey Crew Chiefs - proficient in operating total stations and GPS data collection equipment

Survey Crew Chief - Description and Requirements:
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be diligent in field procedures, and maintain company standards.
- Supervise additional staff members assisting in survey assignments.
- Adhere to QA/QC procedures and note taking. Follow instructions/work orders from project managers.
- Proficiency with Trimble Robotic Total Station (5600 series) and Trimble (TSC2) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors running Survey Pro.
- 2-5 years of survey crew chief experience.
- Construction layout and ability to read and comprehend construction plans
- Strong math skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to organize field notes and execute field staking.
- Strong verbal/communication/computer skills.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to review and follow project scope, keeping all project information and electronic files well organized.
- Assist Survey Crew Chief above as needed.
- Process field data and complete final survey drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist Professional Land Surveyors and Project Managers in completing assigned tasks as well as QA/QC procedures.
- Organize and maintain project folders and associated drawings and documentation related to assigned projects.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Survey AutoCAD experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create GIS maps and field data sheets for exhibits and field surveys.
- Ability to update and edit company GIS data.
- Ability to create workflows to maximize company productivity.
- Strong verbal/communication/computer skills in dealing with clients, schedu.ling, and processing job orders.
- Ability to track expenses and invoices using QuickBooks.
- Ability to be firm in collection of unpaid invoices
